Things to Do in St Louis

With a variety of attractions and cultural sights, St. Louis is a popular U.S. city to visit. It’s the largest metropolitan area in the state of Missouri and has been given the nickname “Gateway to the West.”  Rich in history and home to a number of well-known global companies, St Louis is regarded as one of the top cities in America for its abundant free attractions. Performing arts, sports venues and museums fill the city, keeping visitors busy. The city even has its own food culture, as St. Louis barbecue tops the list of “must-try” local eats.

City highlights include the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis and the St. Louis Zoo. Catch a game and tour the St. Louis Cardinals baseball and St. Louis Rams football stadiums, or head to the Gateway Arch, built as a tribute to westward expansion and serving as one of the most iconic symbols of the city. The stainless steel arch is 630 feet tall and recognized as the United States’ tallest national monument. When it comes to the arts, St. Louis has a seemingly endless list of museums and performing arts venues. There’s also Laumeier Sculpture Park, which features over 70 outdoor sculptures.

If you’re looking to get your heart racing, spend a day at Six Flags Magic Mountain or partake in one of the countless outdoor opportunities, such as hiking, biking or fishing. For a bird’s-eye view of the city, take a hot air balloon ride over the city.
