The Basics

As a highlight of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (and the Big Island as a whole), Kilauea features on just about every sightseeing tour. At the Jaggar Museum and Observatory, you can see steam rising from Halema‘uma‘u Crater and, as it begins to get dark, a glow from the lava lake within. Those craving a more adventurous experience can opt for a guided cycling tour through the national park, hike to the summit of Kilauea, or combine a national park tour with an afternoon of ziplining over the Umauma River.

The night viewing of Kilauea Volcano after seeing it earlier in daylight. Our tour guide and driver Garry, was excellent, the vehicle comfortable with tasty lunch and snacks provided. Dinner at Kilauea Lodge was provided and was great. A must do

Seeing the lava and having Jim as our your guide were the best parts of our excursion. He was so knowledgeable. The Kona coffee stop was awesome and so was lunch and dinner. I would have preferred much more time at the volcano park.

Big Island Hawaii Volcano Adventure w/ Lunch
This trip should have been a separate tour guide aside from the driver. To focus on telling us the story about the place. The itinerary presentation should have been well prepared to highlight the scenic spots and different stories and history about the place.

Hawaii Small-Group Volcano Experience with Lunch and Restaurant Dinner
There’s a lot of great places to see and lots of information to take in. To see the lava at the crater rim of Kilauea volcano + a hike in the lava tube was breathtaking not to mention stargazing in a bright clear sky was priceless. Recommend coming prepared (good hiking shoes, long pants, parka jackets) as the temperature dips down to the 40sF (from 80F) with wind gust of 40m/hr.

Hawaii Small-Group Volcano Experience with Lunch and Restaurant Dinner
Tour guide was very informative and an excellent driver. He gave a lot of really interesting and cool information about Hawaii and it’s a nice way to get to see some pretty awesome places. We saw 3 sea turtles on the black sand beach and seeing the lava bubble at night is super cool. Also the restaurant you go to has some good food and drinks :)
