What To Expect

Select your desired departure time when booking. Then, on the day, depart central London by air-conditioned coach and ride to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.

Pull up at the studios and go inside to explore the spectacular sets used in the much-loved Harry Potter movies.

Enjoy free time to stroll around as you wish. View some of the beautifully crafted costumes and props—such as Hagrid’s motorbike—that were used to bring J.K. Rowling’s stories to vivid on-screen life.

Unravel the behind-the-scenes secrets of many of the special effects and marvel at the animatronics that made sets such as Dumbledore’s office and the Great Hall so spellbinding. Come face to face with the fabled Platform 9 ¾, and snap pictures of the baggage trolley as it vanishes through the platform wall. See the Hogwarts Express steam train, browse the potion shops along cobbled Diagon Alley, and experience the green-screen technology used in the movies with a brief ride on a broomstick, just like the cast.

Other must-sees include Hagrid’s Hut and the Gryffindor common room. And while you’re here, perhaps take time out to snap up the movie-themed souvenirs (own expense) at the gift shop as mementos of your visit.

    Traveler Tips

The terminal meeting place is crowded and crazy busy so allow plenty of time to find the bus.
The no cancellation policy is bad because you cannot cancel and get your money back even for legitimate reasons - which keeps other people from being able to attend.
Do not miss visiting this studio if you are even remotely interested in Harry Potter!

    Great time
    Austin_F, Aug 2022
The experience at the studio was fabulous. Transportation was clean and the AC worked. There wasn’t much signage at the bus station to point us in the right direction but it was easy to ask around and get directions.

Eldest daughters was seeing Hermione’s pink dress. Youngest daughter says everything!! For me, not being a Harry Potter fan, it was really interesting seeing how it was all put together.
    Great experience

Great experience for all ages. Tour is very well organized although drop off could be in a better location. The studio is great and inspires us go back and see the movies again

I appreciate the staff and driver for being so helpful and friendly. My daughter and I had a great experience.
    Top notch studio tour
    Valerie_A, Aug 2022
This tour exceeded my expectations. It was top notch movie studio quality and my kids (especially my 11 year old) loved it. There were some wow moments with the big sets, and really interesting behind the scenes techniques and secrets.
    Lovely day

This was the first thing I booked when I knew we were coming to London. My kids grew up on Harry Potter and it was truly an amazing experience!

This tour was amazing. It was so informative, interesting and captivating. We loved every minute . It was wonderful to learn how scenes were created and the movies perfected!
Great, but transport gate operator needs help.
    Charles_C, Jul 2022
The tour was wonderful. The transport driver was great. The young lady at the Victoria Coach Station needs to find another job better suited for her. She did not present herself and all the people were confused on which bus to get on. There were 3 different groups leaving from the same gate.

Great tour! The bus is like any travel bus nothing special. But you are just paying for transportation and someone to secure your ticket. Wish the bus played the movies to and from for the hour ride.
    Decent experience
    Janna_W, Jul 2022
Easy way to do Harry Potter and the four hours they have is was a good amount of time to see everything and eat a quick lunch. They have a Harry Potter tea time there, so if you want to do that. You might want to Uber out there on your own.

A must see for all Potter fans
    Sandy_K, Jul 2022
A must visit for anyone that’s a Harry Potter fan and visiting the London area. We recommend you book your tour well in advance, as it books up quickly. We met in London at the Victoria Coach Station, a 5 minute walk from the Victoria tube stop, and were given very clear instructions as to what number terminal our bus was leaving from. Our bus driver was very friendly and entertained us there and back. He also gave us very clear information about what time we needed to be back at the bus for our return to London. Would book again for the convenience of safe transportation, and a really fun day at Warner Brothers. I’ve been there three times and they always have something new to see. Highly recommend.
    MAGIC!
    Ashley_P, Jul 2022
Had so much fun. Glad I didn’t miss out on this. Definitely worth it for any HP fan, any age… it’s interactive and the layout is well organized so you don’t miss anything.
    Poor customer service
    DIANNE_C, Jul 2022
We were due to b there 4/7 tested positive covid in Northern Ireland 1/7 so could not travel. Informed viator 1/7 will evidence. They won't even give us a voucher to use in future. Surely in good faith it's the right thing to do .
Waaaaaay overpriced for a coach ride and tour
    Jeffrey_S, Jul 2022
The (self-guided) tour itself is pretty cool with lots of actual sets and props and costumes on display. There's a decent amount of behind the scenes info and it's fairly well organized. We went through it in about 3 hours (including a quick lunch) but we didn't do any of the green screen experiences or the passport stamping since the lines for all of those were gigantic. The bus ride to and from the tour was fine. The A/C was weak and it was hot on the bus but it was in time both ways and got us to and from the tour pretty quickly. The driver was nice enough but had no information to share about London or Harry Potter. The fact that we paid more for the coach ride than the tour (and the tour was already overpriced) makes this a pretty bad bang for your buck.

This tour is amazing! You learn so much about the making of the Harry Potter films and feel immersed in the world. It was a little confusing knowing where to check in for the tour. Once you find your gate at the coach station, you check in with the bus driver and your operator.
Studio tour was great but I’d book with a different provider
    Christina_S, Jul 2022
Long story short - we showed up at 11:10 (5 minutes before departure time - we were supposed to leave at 11:15). We actually left at 11:34am from Victoria station. The bus finally started to move and there was complete silence from staff, no “sorry we are starting a touch later because ___” or “hey everyone, we’re finally taking off - we’ll be there in 50 minutes”. It’s a tiny thing but it just would have been nice to have been in the loop as most of us are travellers and we don’t have data so we had no indication of where we were/how long it was going to take, etc. We only ended up leaving at 11:34am which would have been fine if our driver hadn’t got lost. We ended up getting there at 1:40pm when it was supposed to be a 45-50 minutes drive (but took 2 hrs & 10 mins). Once we got there we wasted more time grabbing snacks and racing to the bathrooms because we hadn’t anticipated a 2 hour journey. We still had to leave at the same time (5:10) which was unfortunate so we were trying to rush through the attractions to ensure we didn’t miss anything. The tour was worth it but I’d say book with a different provider. On the way home one of the staff got on the microphone (1st time we had heard from them outside of check in) and told us tips would be appreciated. The people behind me laughed. Small gestures like “hey, sorry for the delay - I got a bit off course” or “hey all - quick update, apologies for the long journey but we should be there in the next 30 minutes”. Anything would have been helpful. Again, tour was good but perhaps more smooth with a different provider.
