Things to do in  Hurghada

We had a Night City Tour with Fouad. He is very knowlegeable about Hurghada and was a very good and accommodating tour guide. After this tour we know a lot more about what to expect in Hurghada and what activities we should do during our stay.

Made my birthday very memorable thanks to this tour with Tarek. Very informative and get to see different parts off Hurghada and worth doing 100%.

The whole trip was well organized, pick up time was as planned and the snorkeling manager Safwan and his team were very helpful. As a person who can’t swim, it was also very adventurous for me. They were patient with me and assisted me in every way. It’s was a fun filled adventure with music and interesting people. The next time I’m in Hurghada, I’ll definitely request his crew again. For anyone planning to visit Hurghada, book with Sunshine tours and I’d also recommend Safwan and his crew.

At around 4.30 am we were picked up at our hotel for the journey to Luxor. The small van was confortable. After collecting all travelers we headed to the dessert. We had a short stop around 1 1/2 hour after departer at a truck stop. Then we drove another 3 hours to Luxor. On the trip you get an impression from the life in Egypt outside the tourist centers. Soon you realize that it is very helpful to have a lot of small bills because everywhere for everything is a tip expected. The first stop is at the temple of Karnak. It was already hot and the area full of tourists. Nevertheless our guide lead as to shadow places where he explained all the details and where to go best. After some free time we returned to the van where our guide already waited with cold bottled water. Our trip went further to the nile for a facultative Nile cruise. It was the 200 Egyptian pounds per person worth. On the other side of the Nile we went for lunch. The food was really good. After dinner the journey went to the valley of the kings. Our group was on of the first to enter the area. Under the sun it was really hot. We got water from the guide and had the chance to see tree tombs. Some of them had rather long and steep stairs. However it was worth seeing them. The next stop was at the Temple of Hatshepsut. Be aware the salespeople in front of the entrance are rather unpolite and defiant. Also the drivers of the golfcarts, driving from the visior center to the temple entrance, expects a tip. The view from the temple is great because you see the Nile and on both sides the green strips before the desert. After a short stop at the Colossi of Memnon the long way home starts. Back to Hurghada with break you can expect a 5 1/2 hour trip depending where your hotel is. All day our guide organized cold water. He really gave great information and it was worth seeing the historicals sites. However be aware, Luxor is in summer damn hot, the trip is long escpecially the way home.

We were picked up at hotel in time and after a short drive to other hotels we went to the desert, saw a beduin village and continued the journey back to the Red Sea where we watched the sunset over the dessert, had a dinner in a camp and finally went to see the moon with a big telescope. Because it was full moon we did not see any other stars. Do not expect a spectacular safari, a barbeque and star watching in desert. The desert in Hurghada is stony and rather flat. The dinner is served in a camp near the sea and there is no complet darkness. Nevertheless a great escape from the life in the Hurghada beach resorts.

Getting out of the touristy Hurghada to drive through the desert and less touristy cities was a great start and was worth the early rise and long commute. The drivers were friendly and drove safe! Luxor and the sights there are great, a must-see for sure! Our guide, Mohammed, guided my girlfriend and I in English and a German couple in fluent German. He was very knowledgeable, as he is a Egyptologist, and ensured a great experience! Thanks again!

We had a great experience and trip to Luxor through this agency. We were picked up in front of our hotel in Hurghada early in the morning and driven to Luxor where we met with our tour guide at the Karnak Temple. We visited a series of historic sites on both sides of the river and also had a nice lunch and a short cruise on the Nile River. Some negatives: - No bottled water provided even though it was supposed to be included in the price. - Driver barely spoke any English. Overall very good value for the money. This package does not include the entrance fees but this is still a cheaper option than some of the other packages out there.

Wow what a fantastic, smooth and very well organised day. We booked in advance for this tour and it was great. Firstly we were contacted via WhatsApp a couple days before by the lovely driver Mahmoud to confirm hotel pick up information and timings. We had further confirmation the day before to make sure we were all aligned and picked up on the day at 5am from our hotel in Hurghada. Mahmoud picked us up in his air conditioned car, he was very friendly and spoke good English. He made us feel very comfortable and we slept most of the distance to Luxor. I have an anxiety condition and was extremely anxious about the journey to Luxor but was completely calmed by the process. Once we arrived in Luxor we met our amazing tour guide there Abdul. This man is very clever and knows his stuff about Egyptian culture and history. We went to Valley of the Kings first and was guided along the way with opportunities for questions at any point. We then travelled via car by Mahmoud’s father, Ali (while Mahmoud had a rest from driving). Ali was very nice and polite and made us feel comfortable. We arrived at Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari and Abdul bought us fresh waters and cold drinks to keep us hydrated. We learnt at lot this place was fascinating. Ali and Abdul then took us to their families sculpture museum and shop and showcased the ancient Egyptian ways of sculpting ornaments out of natural rocks found in Hurghada. This was a great process and very interesting, they were selling properly made and beautiful ornaments which we purchased from Mohamed. He was lovely and did not put us under any pressure to purchase if we didn’t want to. However the items were handmade and beautiful so we bought some. We then opted for an additional Nile river cruise and homemade traditional food to enjoy on the boat. This was lovely and tasty. Abdul came with us and accompanied us all day, so we were always kept safe with him. Finally we explored the Karnak Temple, and we saved the best till last! This temple is amazing and the details are still intact. You will feel like an ant walking around this beautiful place. Abdul explained all the history and answered our questions along the way. Abdul then asked if we wanted to go anywhere else since it was around 3:30pm that we had finished. It was nice to have this option however we were quite tired so decided to go back to the hotel. After a rest Mahmoud then picked us up, we said goodbye to Abdul (brilliant tour guide!) and made our way back to the hotel with Mahmoud, which was great and we again slept most of the way back. Arriving back to the hotel around 6pm. Overall this was an AMAZING day and we highly recommend this to anyone. What an amazing experience. Ahmed our driver was very prompt, attentive and constantly checked if we needed anything. Mini bus was 1st class and really comfortable. All English group and just 6 of us which made it more personal. He got us to luxor as one of the very first group so there was no queues etc. Here we met our guide Said. He was so knowledgeable and answered all questions. Boat ride was amazing and I totally recommend having the extra long one. 45 minutes up and down the Nile. Could definitely go on forever about everything we saw and did. If you only do one trip out in Hurghada you should do this one. Ahmed and Said were simply the best driver and guide we have had on any excursion. The trip, the food, all the sights and even the long drive. Absolutely perfect

Very good way to see both Cairo/Giza when in Hurghada. Comfortable journey on the coach there end back and the lunch and pyramids were amazing. Drinks at lunch are only 50EGP£ hot & cold. I think this trip does have good value despite sightings not being included. Pyramids: 200 EGP£. Museum: 200 EGP£. I didn’t do the following below but I believe; Nile Boat Ride (Optional): 200EGP£ To enter pyramid (Optional): 100EGP£ Camel/Horse ride(Optional): I think was 300/400EGP. I advice not to ride camels or horses because it’s unethical and unnecessary for them to suffer just to capture a panoramic picture.

We booked this trip from Hurghada to Caira to see the Pyramids as thought we can't go to Egypt without seeing them. We booked the trip knowing it had stated 17 hours round trip, it did over run and took 24hrs but WELL WORTH IT! - Our tour guide was brilliant I can't remember her name but pic is attached, she was very informative and knowledgeable. We were taken the Caira museum first and seeing King TUT burial headdress was definiately a high point. We were offered an extra excursion for 400LE which we are glad we took up as this included a boat ride along the city showing Caira and Giza and a camel ride into the Sahara to see the pyramids at a better angle, without the illegal sellers pestering us, which was so much more pleasurable. The whole trip was exhausting but so worth it and totally good value for money! Well done Viator for another superb excusion on your site.

Excellent trip. Very well organized. The guide was very helpful and full of local knowledge. Expect a long bus journey if your pickup point is Hurghada. We were accompanied by, what seemed, armed government security which made us feel very safe travelling across the desert. Hot Meal provided and fresh fruit while crossing the Nile which was much appreciated. We recommend not to visit crocodile island as we felt it should not be an attraction due to the animal welfare issues. Overall, excellent trip and great value for Money.

This is my first time to come to hurghada and was very amaze friendly crew and pleasant atmosphere unfortunately couldn't have time to see more but promise coming back again great experience thanks guy's hope to see u soon

Fantastic way to see Cairo in a day, we were picked at 1.30am and returned in our resort at 11pm. We had our 6 year old daughter too. The trip is so worth it if you want to see pyramids and get back to Hurghada. Also, our tour guide was fantastic, his name was Mama. We also felt safe all the time, highly recommend this trip.

I went from hurghada to Luxor by bus for 1 day it was very amazing tour and the driver was perfect and it was very safe for me to have a tour like this I enjoyed the time between hurghada and Luxor also the temples was very amazing to see really it have very special history you should have this tour once

I accidentally booked my trip from another city instead of Hurghada. They were able to pick me up the next day from Hurghada. Trip is reasonable priced, but camal ride and Nile River cruise are extra $10 each. They hit all the main highlights you need to see in Cairo. I only wish there was more factual/historical information given during the tour.

Enjoyed every second of it! Our tour guide Mohammad was excellent and knew all the best sights to see. We visited the mosque, boat yard, fishing yard, local market, the perfumery, local shopping gallery and the old hurghada all topped off with a delicious lunch. Highly recommended.

It’s really amazing trip in Luxor, even we just spent 5 hours with the guide. Let me explain why, we met an unexpected heavy rain in 1st Jan 2022, it ruined my planned trip to Luxor on 2nd Jan. I had ordered the ticket from Hurghada to Cairo, so we have very limited time to complete a nice trip. However, the excellent driver and guide help us. The driver is really super good driver, he drives fast and know the road conditions very good. The guide is experienced guy with more than 20 years working experience, he is like an expert on ancient Egypt culture. He customized the amazing trip for us and we visited KV and many temples. We are really enjoy it and we will come to visit Luxor with him again.

Everything was great, I have nothing to complain fully recommended!! Many Thanks to our guide Khaled , he has all the knowledge about all attractions you will visit with him, he always been willing to help us in any way to make you comfortable, never push you to buy anything from the sites we visit and also he helped us to get our tickets from Luxor to Hurghada and drop us to the bus station at the end of the tour...
