Things to do in  Sorrento

Of the 5 activities we booked to enjoy in Sorrento this was by far our favourite. Well organised yet relaxed, in a beautiful location and hosted by a lovely family. We were well looked after, well fed and watered etc. great facilities and so much fun😊.

This was a very well-organised tour that enabled me to see a lot of the island, despite the crowds. Excellent guide and service throughout. I would thoroughly recommend this as an activity from Sorrento.

Great experience! We were able to see a hidden part of Sorrento, to do a short hike at the highest point during one of the stops, to try home made deserts and to enjoy the beautiful views away from the busy city center! Highly recommend!

Great time, fun group running the tour and so much food! Absolutely do not hesitate to book. It was lovely to see this part of Sorrento too!

Isabella is a terrific guide. She is very knowledgeable and helpful, and speaks excellent English. We very much enjoyed the way she showed us around so Sorrento and acquainted us with its interesting is history

It was great to see a local make the different types of cheeses, as well as learn about the olive oil production, and make our own pizza. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Sorrento region!

This was a great way to see Sorrento and avoid the busy tourist streets. Paolo was extremely gracious and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.

Such a lovely tour! The hosts were very welcoming to their farm house and it was amazing to see how much work and care goes into everything they do! The tour was followed by a beautiful home cooked meal. Would highly recommend! This was the highlight of our entire trip to Sorrento! Thank you so much!!

This was a nice trip, but going to three towns it feeled a little too rushed . We had 1 hr in POsitano and my sister went up the street from where the bus left us , to catch some nice views. We would have never even made it far , if we would have gone the street that had all the shops . Not to mentioned we would not have gotten the nice views. All we did was to take a pictures and go back to the bus. Next stop was Amalfi , which we did not like at all . Two other passengers felt the same way . I would skip this and split the time between positano and Ravello, if I were the company. Again, we had 1 hr , but it was so crowded and hot , we needed to stop for a gelato . By the time we eat it 30 minutes have passed and we had no time to see much . Next we went to Ravello. The ticket included lunch, which was in a nice garden with a few lemon trees . The views of Minori were to die for . For the moment we appreciated the stop , but when we got to Ravello we had to rush to the streets again, a little dissoriented, we wished there was no lunch stop . Also, on all three towns we were on our own , so we had to figure out which way to go. This is NOT a guided tour . You just have a driver taking you from Sorrento to these three towns and that's it. I initially did not realize that we would do the little towns on our own . Our driver Paolo was amazing, don't get me wrong, but it would have helped a bit if we would have had a guide or at least a map / indication on where to go. After Ravello , where we would have liked to spend more time, we concluded that maybe the company should skip the lunch ( we can pack our own ) and have 2 hrs in Ravello instead. Also, the ticked advertised an optional 45 min by boat, for an extra 20 Euros . We never got the option, . Not asked , not mentioned . We asked Paolo at the end of the trip when we can take the boat tour and he said that " some drivers offer it at their own risk". I don't think the company should have it advertised in this case, as it is very misleading . The optional boat tour was a big factor in choosing this trip. All in all I think that for the $170 Euros that we paid we would have hired a private driver who would have given us more time in each town and even some guidance . I am not saying don't take the tour, but know what to expect , because is very different that what the tour says it is .

Wow, what an amazing tour this was for my wife and I. We stayed in Europe for 10 days and this was by far our favorite day. The guys running the boat (John and Lucca) went above and beyond to make this the favorite experience we had on our trip. You can’t beat a boat ride around one of the most beautiful places in Italy. Be able to stop and jump in for a swim and see all the sights you need to see for Capri. We were with a great group of people too. We had about 3 hours on Capri and were able to eat dinner, walk around and get some dessert. It was the perfect amount of time for us. FYI, tip we took a train car up to Capri when we got dropped off at the port. It is the best cheapest way to get up. Believe it was 4.50 euro to get up and down for one person. Even the boat ride back to sorrento was memorable thanks to John and Lucca. Bottom line: This is a must book if you are staying in Sorrento

Fabio’s bike tour was different from others and offered a unique way to see the Sorrento region. This is a physically active tour - you bike 15 km total weaving through hills to get to a wonderful limoncello factory - and offered stunning views. It was a one-of-a-kind experience. Our tour guide was amazing and made me, a somewhat e-bike newbie, feel comfy! The limoncello tasting was great and the crew was so helpful. Book if you’re craving for a different kind of tour experience!

Very good 1/2 day tour of Pompeii with a very knowledgeable young man named Pasquale. Pasquale spoke very good English and was easy to understand with our cordless headsets. The tour was well paced and covered as much of Pompeii as time allowed…you would need at least a week to see every detail btw. Our tour included transportation from Sorrento by bus and the driver was very professional and we felt safe at all times. I would recommend this tour and if possible to join Pasquale as he is a very smart young man whom is studied on Pompeii.

All went smoothly met lovely amelia at sorrento station outside newsagents as in photo.She gave us tickets to train and took 16 euros for pompeii fast track.Met guide gino at station and 10 am train to pompeii station took 40 mins.Easy walk from station to pompeii entrance.Recommend toilet break and grab water before enter site.Gino local guide born in area and tour in english with headphones so we can hear gino and not get lost.saw all main sites in pompeii more to see if wanna spend hours there.Gino very amusing and knowledgeable.Time to take photos.Tour of site 2 hours appx and can browse souvenir shop and museum free.Return train at own pace goes every 30 mins appx back to sorrento.Recommend bus from port to train station unless enjoy walking.

I would recommend SHC Sorrento Holiday Charter without hesitation. It was a beautiful yacht and Leonardo and Bianca were exceptionally kind and both went out of their way to ensure that our family of eight had everything we needed. Roberto made contact with us prior to our tour to enquire about what activities most interested us and even arranged a smooth transfer and escort to and from our hotel and the yacht for us. An amazing day of swimming and snorkelling in the ocean and breathtaking scenery. Five stars all the way!

Everything on the tour was well organised. From pick up at our designated pick up point In Sorrento, being driven to the boats about 15 mins away and then the drop offs at Amalfi and Positano. The guide explained lots of facts along the way and we had enough time at each town. The weather was very hot though which was the only down side but out of anyones control. I would definitely recommend this tour. Easiest way to see the towns along the Amalfi coast.

I loved this experience so much. The tour guide, Eugenio, was so cute and funny and informative. I loved seeing the farm animals, learning so much about lemons, and eating Mama's cooking! The process of getting picked up was easy. It was kind of fun meeting other travelers on the bus and eating together. After spending a few days in Sorrento proper, I really liked getting a chance to see the countryside. We did plenty of activities that seemed mass-produced and touristy in Sorrento, but this one just felt really authentic and genuine.

we stayed in Sorrento, but really wanted to see the other towns, but were hesitant to drive on our own due to the narrow winding roads. This was an excellent way to see a little bit of each town and not have to deal with getting there. Bus was very comfortable and the driver, I think his name was Cesar was excellent at maneuvering around the turns. Our guide, Roberto was very friendly and knowledgeable and made it a lot of fun! We arrived in Positano first & had some time (1hour or so) to explore on our own, before meeting at the dock to take a boat to Amalfi as to avoid the traffic! This was a great call and apparently the first time they did it this way! We arrived in Amalfi, had a nice lunch and the met Roberto back at the dock for a short boat ride along the coast (for an additional 12euro per person) After that we got back on the bus for our last stop in Ravello. We climbed the winding roads and got to the beautiful town for another hour or so stop over and then back to Sorrento. You don’t really get to see that much of each town, but for us it was great to get a little taste. These towns are very congested and difficult to maneuver a vehicle there so this was the best way for us to see them.
